If you have enjoyed GCSE Music, then A-level is definitely for you. There will be lots of opportunities for practical performance and composition, as well as developing your understanding of how harmony works and how to discuss elements of music in listening work. There will be a range of set works, ranging from classical to jazz to contemporary to different styles from around the world. You need to be ready to play your instrument or to sing, but you don't necessarily need instrumental grades, just a commitment to making quality music and presenting this in performances.
