Our A-Level in English Language & Literature will build on your GCSE studies to equip you with the skills needed to explore and critically engage with a wide range of texts. You will learn how to analyse language levels effectively and explore particular contexts or functions of language.

The course is delivered through group, pair and individual projects and investigations, homework and project presentations, lectures, readings, discussions, timed assignments, drama activities, writing workshops, one-to-one work with tutors, online research, and library research.

You will be expected to devote at least 5 hours of directed study (homework, preparation, and reading) per week.
