These are relaxed friendly pottery days for both adults and children over 12 years of age, wishing to learn pottery for the first time or advance their skills further. Participants will have the opportunity to make some unique pottery pieces of their own, with tutor support, such as tiles, bowls, pots and sculptural pieces They will also have the opportunity to use the wheel to learn throwing. Any completed work can be picked up from Bensham Grove at a later date or you may wish to enrol on further courses to continue on with your projects or glaze your work. Learn clay techniques, such as coiling, slab building, pinching, throwing and turning on the wheel. Apply colour to pottery work using slips, oxides and underglazes. Additional glazing can be included in the course content, if you have bisqueware created from any previous courses at Bensham Grove that you wish to complete.
