The Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young Peopleƒ??s Workforce (QCF) is for learners who work in, or who want to work in, the children and young peopleƒ??s workforce in England.
This qualification:
ƒ?› Is a recognised qualification for those wishing to enter the children and young peopleƒ??s workforce in England.
ƒ?› covers the age range from birth to 19 years
ƒ?› requires you to spend time in a real work environment
The qualification gives you the opportunity to:
ƒ?› develop and demonstrate competence in working as part of the children and young peopleƒ??s workforce in roles such as assistants in childrenƒ??s centres, day ,nurseries, nursery schools and nursery classes, nursery nurses, care workers and registered childminders, registered nanny or youth community worker
ƒ?› develop technical skills and knowledge and understanding related to the specified job roles
ƒ?› have existing skills recognised
ƒ?› achieve a nationally-recognised Level 2 qualification
ƒ?› develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning
Those who achieve the Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young Peopleƒ??s Workforce (QCF) will be eligible to enter the workforce for children and young people in England. The qualification serves as a progression pathway to the required qualification at Level 3 or above (for all new practitioners) for registration and regulatory requirements in the sector, such as the Level 3 Diploma in Childrenƒ??s Learning and Development (Early Years Educator) (QCF). The qualification will provide progression to the early learning and childcare, social care and learning development and support services workforces.
