In Applied and BTEC Art and Design, you will be given the opportunity to explore all types of Art and Design including : Digital Photography, Fashion, Graphics, Film and Theatre, Product design, Interior and Architecture, Animation and Mixed Media. Whatever your chosen pathway, you will be assisted in creating your portfolio for progression to university or employment.

These courses are examined by Edexcel. The unit coverage is either 6, 12 or 18 units. (Equivalent to 1, 2 or 3 A levels.)

In both Applied and BTEC Art and Design, you will experience many trips to galleries and exhibitions. You will also work with professional designers and be offered internships in order to experience professional practise first hand. Professional practise may include working on live projects, such as local theatre events or community projects.

Students will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their own work at the end of the course. After school tuition is always available for those who need higher grades for university or apprenticeships.
