A two year A' level course. Final A' level exams will be at the end of year 2. Formative and summative assessments and feedback will be given throughout the course. Homework will be set regularly and independent learning tasks will be given to help students to achieve well. Students will cover a range of different topics relating to Art and Design and will have the chance to specialise in their chosen media. These include: Drawing/Printmaking/Painting/Sculpture/Photography and New media. Students will be guided in how to develop a stunning portfolio, produce sketchbooks showing research, development, experimentation and refinement. They will also develop knowledge of artists and craftspeople by producing critical studies, and attend enrichment workshops, educational visits and Art History seminars.
