The Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge, and understanding in environments other than the workplace (eg a workshop, classroom or another training environment). This qualification is a requirement for any assessor and verifier involved in National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and those who deliver these qualifications will need to be qualified to meet the requirements of the NVQ Code of Practice and Sector Skills Councils assessment strategies. This qualification would be helpful for teachers in schools who deliver vocational qualifications with applied learning, such as BTEC Firsts and Nationals.
