This degree course in Creative Arts and Design Practice is taught at Solihull College & University Centre and caters for those who have recently completed a Higher National Diploma under the subject area of Art and Design or Communication Media, Film & Cultural Studies. This can include Photography, Graphic Design and Creative Media Production (Moving Image).
The academic, practical and technical elements of this programme are balanced so that you can either develop your skills to sustain a career in the creative industries as a 'maker' or pursue further study.
Upon completion of the course you will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oxford Brookes University.

- The historical contexts for art and design disciplines.
- Current theories and contexts for art and design disciplines.
- The contemporary creative industries.
- Sustaining commercial and non-profit activities through art and design practice.
- Promoting art and design practice.
The programme is designed to consist entirely of compulsory modules to enable deeper understanding of the conceptual, theoretical and practical skills relating to individual or collaborative art and design practice.
There are four compulsory modules that will be taught during the course:
- Critical and Contextual Writing.
- Negotiated Studies.
- Collaborative and Creative Practice.
