The course is designed to develop work based skills predominantly in a series of practical areas. The nationally recognised qualification gained is structured to allow learners to develop practical skills and knowledge in a supported environment. The curriculum allows for experience in the Motor Vehicle workshop aspects of which include Health and Safety/working safely in an engineering environment.

All learners are also given the opportunity to participate in an Enterprise programme and sit a Functional Skills exam suited to their ability.
