What is it? Studying the underpinning fundamentals of art and design, you will explore a variety of disciplines including photography, graphics, textiles, drawing and painting. You will specialise as you progress into the second year. Why study this course at Blackpool Sixth? The course has a variety of links with external clients including Blackpool Transport, Blackpool Zoo, The Winter Gardens and the NHS. Regular live briefs and artist workshops are integrated into the course and students plan and prepare their own exhibition. Specific course entry requirements: If you have not taken an art and design subject at school, you will need a portfolio showing desire and commitment to art and design.
