In year 12 you will take 2 external exams and begin working on one of the controlled assessment units. The first exam focuses on gaining an understanding of the fundamentals of IT technologies including hardware, networks, software, how businesses use IT and the ethical use of computers. The second examined unit is based around global information and how data and information is stored and processed by organisations. You will learn the relationship between data and information. You will also learn about how individuals use information of various types. This unit will help you to understand the legislation and regulations governing information.
