This qualification is suitable for anyone who is already in a teaching, training or assessor role. This qualification supports a teaching role where the responsibilities are to deliver learning, predominantly in at least one of the following ways - from packs/ pre-prepared materials, therefore having fewer responsibilities in design of curriculum and materials generally - on a one-to-one basis - a programme confined to a particular level/ subject/ type of learner (i.e. does not develop or deliver a full range across a curriculum area) - short courses.

The College of West Anglia offers this qualification from City and Guilds at level 4. You will undertake units that focus on planning, delivering, resourcing and assessment of learning to meet individual and group needs.

The certificate requires at least 30 hours of teaching practice. Observation of practice is completed through a minimum of three hours of observed practice. Elements of the Minimum Core of Literacy, Language and Numeracy will be embedded in this qualification.
