The course is all about building on what you have learnt at GCSE, then taking it a step further. There are three branches to investigate; Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry. In these we take a closer look at just what goes on inside an atom; investigate patterns in the periodic table, look at the chemistry of hydrocarbon compounds and much more; polymers, the modynamics, analytical
techniques, DNA analysis... and you will also pick up useful practical skills that are used in chemistry the world over. The whole course helps students develop a number of personal skills:

ƒ?› How to investigate facts experimentally and use deduction
ƒ?› How to put over your point of view fluently
ƒ?› How to work as a team to achieve results
