This course introduces the skills needed to plan and cook healthy food.The course will cover basic cookery techniques including:ƒ?› Safe storage and handling of food.ƒ?› Working safely in a kitchen.ƒ?› Using equipment and utensils safely.ƒ?› Cleaning equipment and utensils, storing them safely and clearing up the work area.ƒ?› Exploring food from different countries and cultures.ƒ?› Applying number, communication, reading and writing skills.ƒ?› Improving confidence and social skills through participation in group discussions and activities.
