The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) prepares trainee teachers to teach in a range of further education contexts including apprenticeship programmes. There is a significant requirement of teaching practice of 100 hours to be evidenced and verified, of which 8 are observed sessions with your tutor. This qualification will assess and provide evidence of competence in undertaking teaching and/ or training responsibilities and can lead to Qualified Teaching & Learning Status (QTLS). There are 8 Units delivered in a classroom environment with tutorials and observations of teaching practice
