The qualification covers the basic technical needs for today's industry for Lift Truck Maintenance and Repair. Including:
- All aspects of health & safety.?ÿ
- Knowledge and understanding of lift truck systems; engines (fuel & ignition systems), transmissions, drive axles, brakes, steering, tyres, lift truck electric and electronic systems.?ÿ
- Fault diagnosis and routine maintenance of the above systems.

The course is delivered through block release at the centre, it will comprise of 5 weeks per year and entail the learner gaining knowledge and skills, through training in the classroom and workshop environment. The course will be assessed by online tests, assignments and skills assessments.
