This is a 10 week/25hour course that will introduce students to sewing, cutting and pressing techniques used in dressmaking and other textile crafts.
Students will work individually on their own projects and will be given information and guidance to develop their sewing skills.
Whether you want to learn a new skill, become a more accomplished dressmaker or you just want to sew for yourself or your family this course can give you the skills and knowledge you'll need. The course will cover :
Using the sewing machine
Taking accurate measurements
Sewing techniques and processes
Accurate cutting methods
Selection and use of a range of materials and tools
