This course allows students to apply economic theory to support analysis of current economic problems and issues. It explores both the national and international economies and how these affect both businesses and individuals. The two main topic areas are micro and macro-economics. The course helps to develop both analytical and quantitative This course provides students with the opportunity to develop and apply their knowledge of literary analysis and evaluation as well as their understanding of the concepts and methods appropriate for the analysis and study of language. Students use linguistic and literary approaches in their reading and interpretation of texts showing how the two disciplines can relate to each other engaging creatively and critically with a wide range of texts. Throughout the course students explore the ways in which texts relate to each other and the contexts in which they are produced and received. They develop their skills as producers and interpreters of language undertaking independent and sustained studies.
