Ideal if: you are a permanent UK resident and English is not your first language.You'll learn: reading, writing, speaking and listening.Expect to: improve your English and have the option to take exams at a range of levels.You'll love: the chance to improve your communication skills, employability options and the opportunity to meet students from around the world.You will need to arrange to go to Student Services in Gloucester or Cheltenham. They will decide if you can do an ESOL course and if you have to pay fees. You should bring with you any of the following: a) Evidence of receipt of benefits (where applicable) e.g. JSA, ESA (Employment Support Allowance within work related activity group) b) E.U. Workers' State Registration. c) Evidence of residency status e.g. passport, E.U. ID card, ILR, ELR, ELC, Humanitarian Protection, marriage or working Visa, IND or Arc Card from Home Office. If it is possible to do an ESOL class you will be invited for an assessment so that we can offer you the right level. Overseas students, European Students who are not living in the UK on a permanent basis, short-term visitors or those on visitors, au-pair or student visas wishing to study English should apply for EFL not ESOL.
