The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) provides students with an opportunity to study an area of personal interest or activity outside their main programme of study, i.e. other A-Level subjects.

Students plan, research, document and prepare a final presentation about their project product (essay, artefact, composition, film, etc.) and process including a question and answer session. An evaluation is completed and the final product and production log is submitted for assessment.

The EPQ enables students to develop and improve their own learning, critical thinking and evaluation skills.

All students receive the ƒ??taught elementƒ?? delivered at the start of the course which includes:
ƒ?› Research skills.
ƒ?› Ethical guidelines.
ƒ?› ICT skills.
ƒ?› Time, resource and task management skills.
ƒ?› Referencing and use of sources.
ƒ?› Presentation skills.

They are also allocated a designated supervisor who will meet with them on a regular basis to review their progress.
