Film Studies is a subject that by its nature requires candidates to consider individual, moral, ethical, social, cultural and contemporary issues. The course provides a framework for exploration of such issues and includes specific content through which students may address these issues. This course will offer a vocational as well as academic route into employment or further education. Qualifications in Film Studies are acceptable as an entry to many different careers or courses. These may include: Marketing, Journalism, Education, Film Production, Media Studies, Creative Writing, Social Sciences. All courses at Walsall Academy are designed to provide academic and vocational experiences. They will prepare students for their choice of career in both the world of work and Higher Education.
