This course equips students with the ability to communicate in French and fosters transferable skills including critical thinking and creativity. In addition it develops their understanding of French culture and society including francophone music and cinema and students will explore the influence of the past on present-day French speaking countries. As part of the course students will be encouraged to respond to provoking questions and explain viewpoints in French. Participation in discussions and debates on a range of topics is a key element of the course as well as taking part in a wide range of interactive learning experiences. There is also an opportunity for all students to participate in a work experience placement in St. ??tienne (pictured at the top of the page) in order to improve confidence and fluency with spoken French.
