Course content will be discussed at the first session, so that they can be tailored to the needs and interests of the group. You will have the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues. Topics at the higher levels cover a wide range of subjects and may include the following: ƒ?› discussion of news and current affairs; ƒ?› films, plays, books, songs, humour; ƒ?› discovering regions of the world in which the language is spoken and their customs and traditions; ƒ?› learning how to deal with practical aspects of daily life overseas: ƒ?› travelling, working and retiring in the country. Different topics are covered each term. Sessions are lively and varied and draw on a range of authentic sources from articles in the press, internet and TV to extend your reading and listening skills. Vocabulary, grammar and lexical structures will be addressed in context.
