The aim of this qualification is to enable individuals to demonstrate their skills in reading, writing and speaking and listening. For reading the assessment consists of tasks based on different texts, designed to assess the learnerƒ??s ability to select, read, understand and compare texts in detail and use them to gather information, ideas, arguments and opinions. In writing the tasks require learners to produce a range of extended written documents, communicating ideas and opinions, effectively and persuasively. Speaking and listening designed to assess the effective application of speaking, listening and communication skills within a range of different contexts, including those that are unfamiliar, based on real-life scenarios. Exams are externally marked and can be taken either as paper based or online
