The programme is extremely student directed and after a period of introducing basic techniques, you will be encouraged to develop your understanding of the materials through the exploration of your own ideas and designs. Fused glass involves setting out compatible coloured glass in preparation for melting/fusing in a kiln. There are a range of different firings that we can use to create a range of effects, and a wide variety of additional elements we can add to the glass such as metals and decals. Through this simple process of melting the designs you develop, we can create anything from jewellery to bowls to abstract sculpture. We have further information if you require please phone 0191 433 8646 and we will be happy to provide you with guidance and support to ensure that you get the most out of your course. We hope you enjoy yourself on this course and learn a range of skills to help you in your future direction.
