This course explores the influence of cultural, social and political factors and the developments in materials, techniques and processes of both art and architecture over time. Students will develop visual literacy across painting sculpture and architecture from classical Greece to the present, and will study works from with and beyond Europe. Students will gain abroad knowledge and understanding of a range of movements, periods and themes, for example nature, identity and war.
