This is a high quality and nationally recognised qualification. It provides opportunities to develop skills demanded by employers.
Currently assessment is based purely on course work which is assessed internally and confirmed by a visiting moderator twice each year. Students work individually and in groups and a key element to the course is that deadlines for completion of work are strictly adhered to. Students and their parents are given clear indications as to what these deadlines are.

Students study a series of units (18 in total) covering a wide range of topics around computing and ICT. These include topics such as the use of spreadsheets, the use of databases, games design and technology, computer networks, e-commerce, website design and creation and smart technology. Of these units there will be a two or there which will be compulsory, the others will be chosen by the teachers in consultation with the students on the course.
