One of the most popular Apprenticeships in the UK, the customer service industry covers many sectors and job roles that are relevant to Intermediate Apprentices.

This apprenticeship trains you to provide excellent customer service, and can be applied to hundreds of job roles across many different sectors. Most customer service apprentices work in retail, financial services, call centres, hospitality, or sport and recreation.

There are a wide variety of other job roles that are complemented by customer service skills at this level and that could benefit those choosing to undertake the Customer Service Intermediate Apprenticeship.
Those completing their Intermediate Apprenticeship can go onto further training and education such as the Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service or other Advanced Apprenticeships where customer service plays an important part e.g Business Administration.
As a customer service apprentice, youƒ??ll need clear and up-to-date knowledge of your organisationƒ??s products and services and be able to communicate with all sorts of people. Duties will vary between sectors, but in most cases youƒ??ll be making sure that customers are dealt with in a positive, reliable and pleasant way ,whether thatƒ??s by offering advice, answering questions or handling complaints.

You could train in roles such as:

-Customer service trainee/assistant/representative/agent

If you don't already have GCSE'S at C grade you will need to take Level 1 Functional Skills in English, Maths & ICT if needed

You can apply online for an Apprenticeship Vacancy at www.way2work.org.uk
