This Apprenticeship is employed status only (minimum 30 hrs per week). For a new entrant into the care sector an Apprenticeship gives you an excellent grounding to develop a successful career as well as enabling long standing staff to further develop their existing skills and receive an approved qualification confirming their competencies and abilities.

This Apprenticeship is ideal if you want to train for a career in the Health and Care sector. It is also suitable for those who already work within the Care sector.

Intermediate Apprentices can progress to do an Advanced Apprenticeship. Advanced Apprentices can progress to QCF diplomas at level 4 and above (e.g. Higher National Diploma in H&SC or Higher Education), including, where appropriate, opportunities for progression to foundation degrees (e.g. Foundation Degree in H&SC) and higher education certificates.
