If you are interested in pursuing a career in engineering or motor vehicle service and repair, this course is for you. The course will develop the skills and understanding needed to enable you to progress in the engineering or motor vehicle industries. A lot of time is spent in the practical workshops so that you have the opportunity to practice and master the hand skills needed in the engineering and motor vehicle industries. This is backed up by classes which focus on the understanding and knowledge behind your practical work.

You will be encouraged to take responsibility for your own learning as this will help you to develop the skills to be mature and independent at work. You will be expected to be keen and interested enough to work hard without being continually monitored. You will also be expected to become more self-reliant and better organised as the course progresses.
