The Cambridge Technicals in IT offers a creative and inspiring vocational qualification as a high quality, work focused alternative to A Levels. The course is for students who prefer to study IT in a context that allows them to develop practical skills and knowledge relevant to modern businesses. It has been developed in partnership with major employers in the industry resulting in a challenging Level 3 IT qualification which equips students with relevant skills. There are three externally assessed units plus a choice of two further units, which are internally assessed. It is designed to give learners a range of specialist knowledge and transferable skills in the field of applied IT, providing them with the opportunity to enter an apprenticeship, move directly into employment, or progress to a related higher education course.
