You'll study the significant events and personalities of the past, building on the historical skills developed during GCSE study. You'll refine your analytical skills, learning how to examine historical sources and communicate your knowledge. Studying two units in the first year, Germany c.1918-89 and Spain c.1930-78, you'll establish a thorough understanding of history as a discipline and carry out your own independent research in a historical enquiry.
