The course suits those with an interest in understanding and explaining human behaviour and who enjoy investigating and debating different issues. Psychology is the study of the human mind and behaviour. Positioned between traditional science and humanities subjects, and drawing on many aspects of these areas; psychology can be chosen as part of a large number of a level combinations. The course aims to provide you with an understanding of methods and approaches in psychology. This is done by studying different psychological theories, studies and concepts, and taking part in and carrying out practical research activities involving collection, analysis and interpretation of data. Throughout the course the ethical implications of psychological research will also be discussed. You'll study social influence, memory, attachment, psychopathology, research methods and approaches in psychology. Assessment is exam based.
