This course is aimed at experienced teaching assistants and learning support staff who directly support the teaching and learning of pupils. The course covers knowledge on communication and professional relationships, assessment for learning, schools as organisations, understanding child and young person development, understanding how to safeguard the well-being of children and young people, supporting learning activities, supporting children and young people's health and safety. You would then add from a range of specialist units that would reflect your role.
