A whole day of sewing designed to give you all the skills you need to begin or progress with your journey into the sewing world. We'll cover all the basics, including how to thread a machine, fill a spool and sew a variety of stitches that are useful for dressmaking and everyday textile projects. We'll use seam guides and the reverse function and pivoting to sew curves and corners. We'll cover how to sew a seam and use zigzag stitch to neaten the raw edges and how to change feet and needles and explain the different types and sizes.

You'll then use these skills to sew a useful tote bag that will include seams, hems and handles.
