Our tourism and aviation courses include lots of opportunities for you to get hands on experience of the world of work, including:
Work experience with businesses such as TUI Plc, Ibis Hotels and placements in 5 star hotels through the Hilton Hotel chain
Trips and visits to Barcelona, Disneyland Paris, Thorpe Park, British Schools Museum, Duxford Imperial War Museum and the Virgin Atlantic Training Centre
Participation in event management with a local company and TUI recruitment days
Your course will be a mix of classroom-based theory sessions, workshop sessions that explore practical skills, project working with employers and the local community and work experience. Topics include retail travel management, cultures and destinations, UK tourism market, business skills and marketing.
You will hone relevant workplace skills such as dealing with complaints, building rapport with others and problem-solving.
You will also complete maths & English qualifications to grade 4 if you havenƒ??t got them already as they are essential in this industry.
