Skilled carpenters and joiners are in high demand in the construction industry. This course will give you a nationally recognised qualification that can be upgraded to an NVQ Level 2 once certain criteria have been met. On the site carpentry route and enjoy a mix of practical projects and theoretical work. The site-carpentry option includes: Understanding construction technology Preparing and using power tools Carrying out first and second fixing operations Erecting structural carcassing operations Maintenance to carpentry work. You will also cover core units of Health safety and welfare in construction and associated industries as well as understanding information quantities and communications with others.
