A varied programme including academic subjects and
lectures, practical horse care tuition, riding instruction and work experience. There is also an opportunity to study towards Health and Safety with Horses.
In addition to work experience, the course covers subjects such as feeding and watering horses, routine stable duties, horse handling, horse tack and clothing and riding on the flat and over fences. There are trips to events such as the Horse of the Year Show and Bramham Horse Trials. From September 2016 there is a Racing pathway available at the York campus only.
