Students who successfully complete this Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training programme will have gained a recognised teaching qualification for the post-16 education and training sector. This is one of the most popular qualifications for prospective teachers wishing to pursue a career in further education or for those who currently hold an FE teaching role and wish to gain a full teaching qualification. On successful completion of this 2-year course having graduated with literacy and numeracy at Level 2 plus a specialised subject at Level 3 students may apply for QTLS status which is the equivalent of QTS status.Over the two years students will study a variety of units which may include:* Teaching learning and assessment in education and training* Theories principles and models in education and training* Inclusive practice* Developing using and organising resources in a specialist area* Developing teaching learning and assessment in education and training* Wider professional practice* Action research
