Geography is a subject which considers the relationship of human populations to each other over space and time. It also considers their
relationships with their physical environment at a variety of scales, from local to global. Students will also have the opportunity to consider the values and attitudes of themselves and of others during this course. Students will enjoy this course if they take an interest in what is going on in the world and are able to see the implications of global environmental issues.

Students will study six units in Year 12 including tectonics, glaciated landscapes, coastal landscapes, globalisation, regeneration, and diverse
places. Students will then study eight units in Year 13 including the water cycle, carbon cycle, climate change, superpowers, human rights,
migration and sovereignty. Students will also produce a 4,000 word piece of investigative work.

Geography graduates are employed in a wide range of sectors, including the public sector, education, commerce, industry, transport and tourism. Geography graduates have excellent transferable skills which also attract employers from the business, law and finance sectors.
