Building on the GCSE, A-Level Media Studies covers a wide range of industries, texts, concepts, and theories. The course provides a challenging but engaging view of the media world that students consume daily. Students discuss the political, historical, social and economic contexts of a wide range of media industries including: newspapers, television, film, music, magazines, online and gaming. The course also encourages creativity to enable students to gain a greater appreciation of the media through their production work and to develop their production skills.
