Hairdressing is a competitive industry with fashions and hairstyles often changing, providing a constant challenge for hair stylists. The majority of work during this course is of a practical nature and will allow you to progress your skills in practical salon environments with continual supervision, support and assessment.In addition to your main qualification, you will develop skills in client care and communication and health & safety. You will also acquire skills in cutting, setting, blow drying, long hair work, perming and colouring. A qualification in Functional Skills will also be required.
