The course will seek to build learns confidence and understanding of volunteering, carrying out placements and gaining employment within the Health & Social Care sector.

Learners will gain:
ƒ?› A clear understanding of the key qualities, skills and values required in a care setting
ƒ?› Identify their own skills and qualities and how they can use them to assist individuals and groups
ƒ?› Develop coping strategies through the use of role play and scenario activities that reflect everyday activities in a care setting
ƒ?› Gain practical experience in a voluntary position to utilise skills and knowledge gained in the classroom within a practical environment
ƒ?› Reflect on the skills and experience gained in their voluntary role to create personal development/action plans
