This is a 10 week/25 hour course that will introduce students to sewing, cutting and pressing techniques used in dressmaking and other textile crafts.
You will work individually on your own projects and be given information and guidance to develop your sewing skills.
Whether you want to learn a new skill, become a more accomplished dressmaker or you just want to sew for yourself or your family this course can give you the skills and knowledge you'll need. The course will cover:
Using the sewing machine and overlocker
Taking accurate measurements
Using patterns
Cutting out
Selection and use of a range of materials and equipment
