Students with this qualification have access to a wide range of career and higher education opportunities. It supports applications for degree courses such as Travel and Tourism Management or Marketing. It is also possible to go straight into employment - which could include further training in areas such as Tour Operations, Airlines and Business Travel.
The course will appeal to those students who: have a keen interest in travel and tourism; have an aptitude for coursework; enjoy studying a subject that is relevant to their own lives and experiences; want the opportunity to carry out practical work; want to find out more about the subject through personal investigation.
This qualification is the equivalent of one GCE A-Level. The course is assessed through coursework only and the assessment procedures are externally moderated. You must be able to manage your own learning and be good at working to deadlines to successfully complete the course.
