The Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People's Mental Health is delivered as a 10-week programme, with 3 hours' College attendance a week (6-9pm), term-time only. It is an introduction to the knowledge and awareness of children and young people's mental health and is internally assessed using a range of methods including written assignments or tasks. This course allows you to develop specialist knowledge and understanding of children and young people's mental health in context, of the mental health problems commonly associated with children and young people, the impact of mental ill-health on children and young people, and the various support available. This qualification will not only support employment opportunities, but also progression to the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health. You may also wish to consider completing this course as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to support your current role.
